Memories of Halloween (90’s edition)
Howling at the full moon as it comes through this spooky season, thankful for is illumination on our footed travels. Trick or Treating our neighborhood. Taken back in time to a childhood filled with roaming the streets alone. Safety was our parents inspecting the candy before we could eat it, but was also a time that homemade treats was safe, like Carmel apples, and homemade popcorn balls, knowing the neighbor who made it was a friend. Homemade costumes not store bought and meeting up with friend. Pillow case candy bags filled to the top and stopping by our homes to grab another. The race to hit all the houses with a porch light on, and a guarantee a treat or handfuls of goodies. I wish you all, a happy and safe Halloween.
